Encanto Collections

The Semilla Collection uses tagua, the seed of a palm-like tree that grows in the tropical rainforests of South America. These necklaces, pendants, earrings, chokers, bracelets, rings and broaches communicate freshness and natural beauty. Each style has at least five different color combinations: oranges, reds, pinks, salmons, greens, blues as well as the earth tones of coffee, okra, grays, and yellow earth.

What is Tagua?

Natural
Tagua (pronounced TAG-WAH) is a seed or a nut from a palm like tree that grows in the tropical rainforests of Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil.

Vibrant
Tagua is also known as “vegetable ivory”, because of its rich natural color and shiny texture, that resembles ivory.

Creative
Tagua is a versatile material that can be carved, polished and cut into many different shapes including rings, squares, and flat pieces.

Colorful and Bright
Tagua has the innate ability to absorb color brightly without bleeding or fading.

Spontanenous
Being a living material, Tagua has the imprint of the earth giving richness in texture. Sometimes it seems like ivory, sometimes like wood; and sometimes it sparkles like a precious stone, but in essence it is not easy to define…it is, quite simply,Tagua.
